Knoiva collects account, learning, and payment information only to run tutoring — matching, Zoom sessions, tasks, messages, and support.

Knoiva operates this website and app. This policy covers personal information we process when you create an account, book a tutor, teach, or contact support. For cookies specifically, see our Cookie Policy.
We use this information to create accounts, match tutors and learners, run Zoom sessions, process payments and payouts, send booking and reminder emails, provide support, enforce the Community Guidelines, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
Session meetings are created through Zoom so you can join from the dashboard. If a recording is stored, it is available to the people on that booking for a limited time (about 7 days for demos, 30 days for paid sessions), then it is deleted. Do not download and post a student’s recording publicly.
Knoiva is for families as well as teens and adults. If a learner is under 13, a parent or legal guardian must open the parent account and add the child. We do not want under-13 students to register on their own. Parents can update or unlink a child from their dashboard, and can ask us to delete child data via support. If we learn a child under 13 created an account without a parent, we will close it.
We share data with service providers who help us operate Knoiva: hosting, email, Zoom, payment processors, and support chat. Staff (admins and support agents) can access what they need to review applications, tickets, and safety reports. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect a child from harm.
You can update your profile, manage linked children, change cookie preferences (see Cookies), and request account deletion from settings or by contacting us. Deletion may be delayed where we must keep records of payments, disputes, or safety investigations.
