Knoiva is built for live tutoring with adults and families. Here is how we reduce risk — and how you report something that does not feel right.

Tutors apply, upload documents, and wait for review before they show up in public search. We look at identity and credentials as part of onboarding. Verification is not a guarantee that every interaction will be perfect — it is a gate so strangers cannot start teaching on day one.
Lessons run on Zoom meetings created for that booking. Join from the dashboard. Do not move a student to a personal video room or phone call. When a recording exists, demo lessons are kept about 7 days and paid lessons about 30 days, then they are deleted.
Tutor–student chat stays in Knoiva. Parents of a linked child can follow family conversations. You can block a user from Messages. If someone asks to move off-platform, share sexual content, or pressures a child, stop the conversation and report it.
Under-13 learners should only be on Knoiva through a parent or guardian account. Parents should stay nearby during live Zoom sessions for younger children. If you think a child under 13 created a student account alone, contact us so we can remove it.
Use any of these:
We review reports and may suspend accounts that break the Community Guidelines. If someone is in immediate danger, call local emergency services first — Knoiva is not a crisis hotline.
Pay through the booking or subscription checkout. Never send money to a tutor’s personal account because they asked in chat. That is a warning sign — report it.
